大学の紹介
1870年創立。研究型の州立総合大学。当初は農科系の大学だったが、1957年に現在の総合大学となった。150以上の専攻課程を設けていて、とくにビジネス、工学、生物学が人気。農学・工学・環境学の課程が充実していて、近年はオンラインプログラム（グローバルキャンパスと呼ばれている）にも力を入れており、学生数をグングン伸ばしている。州民にとっては学費の安さが大きな魅力となっている。広大なキャンパスはロッキー山脈のふもとにあって、デンバーまでは車で南に1時間ほど。
